Alright ladies, I just went shopping this weekend and found myself with overflowing hangers in the dressing rooms of Victoria’s Secret. I don’t know about you, but I am not a huge fan of bra shopping. I LOVE new bras, but the concept of trying on 1000 different styles, fits and sizes just overwhelms me. Not to mention that fact that from pre-baby to breastfeeding to post baby, I have about 10 different sizes of bras – none of which actually fit anymore.
With the heat of the summer, I often opted for bralettes.
A) They are really cute!
B) They don’t actually feel like your wearing a bra.
C) When your toddler insists on shoving her hand down your shirt, showing your chest to the world, it looks like you just have a cute cami on!
This weekend I thought that maybe it was time to update my bra situation. I mean thin lace bralettes are great and all, but I am 30 and should really wear a real bra…right?
After trying on a dozen, in just as many different sizes, I was a dissapointed. Nothing fit right – and if it did fit, it just wasn’t comfortable. While my girlfriend was still in the fitting room I decided to do one last tour of the store…and there I saw it! A bralette…that wasn’t just lace! It was actually lined, and just looked SO pretty and SO cozy. So I did what any reasonable woman would do – I pulled open those drawers and found every colour and style it came in and hauled my butt back to the fitting room.
I finally found it!! Ladies – if you are going to get a bralette, or if you find yourself wandering over to the teen section because your itty bittys don’t fit into these big-girl bras (I’ve got your back girl!), THIS IS IT!
It pulls over like a typical bralette, but it is lined and even has a bit of padding. I LOVE the wide band along the bottom – It doesn’t dig in and just sits so smoothly. The push-up style padding adds a little extra for us girls who may need it and helps a girl out when it gets a little cool out (you all know what I’m talking about). Even better, this bralette comes in a couple different styles! Simple and silky, a bit of lace, a racer back, or regular convertible straps.
They were ON SALE for an amazing deal of 2 for $35, but are regular $30, so totally wroth stocking up on! I bought two, but may need to go back for a couple more.
