The Best Hair Accessories of the Summer

Spring and summer not only brought sunshine and flowers but it also brought all the cute hair accessories! I love this trend because it is easy to incorporate inexpensive accessories into your wardrobe, staying up on the latest styles without breaking the bank. I am sharing my favourite hair accessories you can rock this summer!

Scrunchies

Anyone else feel like they got a blast from their past when they saw scrunchies come back? I had to stop for a second and think if I really wanted to dive into this one but I am here for all scrunchies! I was gifted these two gorgeous scrunchies from a local babe and owner of BestedScrunchiesEver. She has so many cute prints and colours I could seriously start a collection! Use them as a regular ponytail, to tie off your braid or for a cute pop of colour in your top knot.

Pearl Hair Clips

Oversized barrettes and pearl clips are all over the fashion blogging world and one of the most popular hair accessories right now. They are such an easy way to add a bit of glam to any outfit. I love using a clip along side my top knot ( it’s one way to help distract from the 3 day old hair!)

Knotted Headband

More of a style accessory than to actually pull your hair back, knotted headbands are so on trend right now. They add such a fun vintage vibe and add a fun opo of colour to a simple outfit! Slip it on with day old curls or try it with your hair pulled into a top knot (clearly I love a good top knot!)

Hair Scarves

Along the same line as the knotted headbands, hair scarves as so cute but they add so much more versatility. You can use them as a headband and leave the tied ends exposed for a retro feel, or use it as a fun addition to any ponytail or braid, leaving the ends dangle down. You can tie it in a bow at the end of your braid, tie it around your top knot, use it as a fun accessory on your purse to pull your outfit together. The sky is the limit!

Bows

Of course I can’t forget the littles. They should be able to join in on the hair trends. My daughter grabs for my knotted headbands all the time but these bows are also a great option (and they are made by myself and my mama!) Get them on an alligator clip to pop into braids or buns, or try a nylon headband for the tiny babes with little hair.
