With the spirit of American Thanksgiving this weekend, lets talk about some things I am so thankful for – starting with the trend of slouchy tees. I mean, #momlife, right? It is now totally acceptable to wear something so comfy and loose fitting and call it stylish. Who doesn’t love that- mom or not! But it takes me to my second thing… Thank goodness the bralette has become a trend! There are so many reasons I love this trend and that I hope it doesn’t go anywhere anytime soon. For all you mamas out there, please tell me you understand (and for you non-mamas, this trend is still so amazing and you may laugh at what I am about it say)….
I mean, I don’t know why or how to stop it, but whenever I am out in public and carrying or playing with my toddler, she just has to have her hand down my shirt. Not constantly, but it is like my shirt just becomes a play thing for her to yank on, tug on and pull down. Add the fact that I am often rocking an oh-so-comfy slouchy tee that has the perfect loose neckline for her to tug at…it is just a recipe for disaster.
The bralette to the rescue!
Not only are these so comfortable, un-restricting and really cute, they totally work with toddler life because when my little munchkin wants to tug away at my shirt, I no longer feel like I am exposing the world to my underwear. Instead, it just looks like a cute cami! I love this one from BohoChicBoutique. It is a racerback style with thick straps for the perfect intentional peek-through with any top! This great slouchy tee is from there too!
I always had a pet peeve of bra straps showing but now you can wear those cute slouchy tees and fall-off-the-shoulder sweaters and not to crazy trying to tuck in your bra straps! I love the look of a cute lace bralette peeking out of the shoulder or neckline of a shirt!
A tip for those who are looking at me thinking that a bralette will never be enough to keep everything together – grab one with thick straps and wear it over your bra just like a cami! You’ll get the support that you need and the cute feminine detail that you love! (Just make sure that the straps lay over each other!)

I love this slouchy knit! It looks great tucked in with the jeans. I agree, bralettes are fab – I have yet to find one that I really love though – this one you have looks really lovely (and supportive!!)

You are right – it can be a struggle to find the right fit. I have a few from Victoria’s Secret that have tiny straps, but I like this one for the thick straps. Also, look for some with a wide band along the bottom. They give more support!

Girl you are just too cute! My toddler has his hand down my shirt constantly trying to pull out my boob ugh. This bralette would be a lifesaver! Great tip about wearing it over a bra!
