Turning 30 has brought a shift in my life. I am not sure if it really is the age, the lifestyle I am living, or just the timing, but I started to get hungry for some real life, real inspiring, real perspective changing soul food. Everyone could use a little inspiration and positivity these days so I thought I would share my top talks that inspire right here for you!
Grab your coffee or tea, a cozy blanket, and get ready for some amazing talks about life, love and trust for our Sunday Coffee Stop!
I stumbled across all three of these talks on youtube and it just so happens that they all came from Oprah’s Soul Sessions. (Figures, that woman knows all the best, most inspiring people around!) Now if I could go anywhere for a weekend away, I would LOVE to find myself sitting in the auditorium at UCLA listening to Oprah’s favourite people!
Marie Forleo – Everything is Figureoutable
This girl is one amazing story teller and just oozes with positivity. She spends this 20 min talk sharing how you can become virtually unstoppable in life with one simple thought.
Brenee Brown – The Anatomy of Trust
I think I have listened to this talk at least a dozen times and it makes an impact on me each time. Why are there some friends that you feel you can trust with your most intimate secrets and some that you can’t? Brenee’s words are eye opening as,with a simple acronym, she breaks down what trust really is and why it allows you to be so connected with some people.
Glennon Doyle Melton – First the pain, then the rising
I mentioned Glennon and her book which prompted this talk in my top must reads post a while back, but I think it is so profound that it is worth mentioning again. This 20 minute talk breaks down the top points in her book. She will inspire you with how she believes you must face your pain in life head on and rise through it instead of hiding from it. She dives into how different men and women are and how, we as a society, put our genders into very rigid boxes.
I hope you enjoy these talks – they always inspire me! Play them during your lunch break, in the car on the way to work, or with a cup of tea when your little one finally goes down for a nap.
Thanks for sharing these talks! I’ve read several Brene Brown books and always gain something from her words. I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts lately though so I’m interested in checking these out. 30’s are a great time for growth for sure! Thanks for linking with Fabulous Friday!

Hi Shelly! I am loving how easy podcasts are. I am a big book nerd, but don’t always have the luxury of sitting down for a few hours at a time to read so the podcasts give me exactly what I am looking for but on the go! Have you read Brene’s newest book? I can’t wait to pick it up!
