Many of you know I am a Stylist with Stella & Dot.  For those of you who don’t, I am your girl for cute jewels and accessories!  Four times a year Stella & Dot releases a new collection for the season.  This month we launched our Fall collection and I have to say that I am in love!  I don’t want to rush away summer, and all the pieces are so transitional, but there is something about fall colours that get me.  Maybe it is the rich burgundy and olives mixed with gold and blush.  I mean, those are the colours I wear all year round!

Because I love them all so much, I thought I would show you the pieces I chose this season!  I don’t buy the whole collection but pick and choose my favourites to wear and to show during my style sessions.

Before the collection launches, I always hold a sample sale for friends and past customers so I can off-load my older pieces that I no longer wear and make room for the new!  (If you ever want to be a part of it, click here and join my VIP group where I share all the info!)  Then, similar to my own closet, I go through my pieces and see where I need to fill the gaps.  I wear a lot of earrings, scarves, and more delicate necklaces.  I noticed a gap in my bag collection and needed an everyday tote and a cute bag for going out on date nights.

Making a list really helps me stay on track and narrow down my choices.  I, unfortunately, don’t have an infinite budget to spend on Stella & Dot so I  make sure I love what I am getting and that it will work with my current pieces.

The Bags

Since bags are something I use everyday, I bought 4 of them!

The Ava Backpack was top on my list.  I have been eyeing a backpack for some time now.  My husband rolls his eyes and asks what grade I am in, but I love them!  With a pre-schooler I end up with a purse full of snacks and barbies on one shoulder and often end up carrying her on the other hip.  Anything to make my life easier and give me more hands is a win – so in comes the backpack! Super cute, neutral and minimalist.

The Sloan Covet bag was my splurge.  A genuine leather and suede bag that is perfect for date night or even just everyday errand running.  It is so chic and a bag that I can imagine myself wearing for years.  PLUS its half price, so I just couldn’t beat it!  And can we talk about the gorgeous mushroom colour?

The Work Hard Play Hard Bags just oozed mom-on-the-go for me.  First of all, I can’t pass up anything blush and burgundy.  So the tote was a no brainer.  I love how big it is and how it has the tote handles AND the crossbody strap.  Pair this bag with leggings and a tee, or jeans & a blouse and it totally works!  The black cross body is my casual bag.  One tip – the strap is a little short.  Our design team is looking into it, but if you are tall or have a bigger chest, the bag may be a bit short!

Give me ALL the gold this season!

I am obsessed with these new hammered hoops.  Big hoops are coming back in.  Think J-Lo style! I’ll be wearing this whole combo on repeat all summer long.  The Maize wrap bracelet is a gold version on our best seller (Yves wrap) and I just love the camel leather.  Paired with the LOVE necklace (under $40!) and the camo scarf, it is just perfection!

Since statement earrings are my thing I grabbed two more pairs that are so fun!  The Pegasus earrings are just the perfect pop.  They will make any outfit shine and will we perfect for those holiday parties (think LBD, earrings & great shoes!)

I also grabbed the Color Pop Earrings, which are a fun new style that is getting ALL the attention from editorial magazines globally.  Each piece that you see on them can be taken off and turned around revealing a different colour on the back.  That means endless styles and ways to wear them.  I just love the versatility that Stella & Dot creates with their pieces because it means that you are getting so much more for your money.  1 pair of earrings that costs you $59 really gives you over 7 different looks!

Arm Party Fun

I always love to grab a few bracelets that can finish my looks and create easy arm parties.  I have been wearing the Intention bracelets non-stop so I thought it was smart to add these two to help create more silver or mixed metal looks.  The Balance bracelet is just gorgeous with its silver and teal tones where the Dolly stretch just brings in a mixed metal vibe. They are two pieces that will blend so well with the bracelets I already own!
