These posts are quickly becoming a fav of mine because I love showing how you can wear one outfit multiple ways (check out these ones here and here). Plus it keeps me on my toes and makes me really stretch my wardrobe! So you know the drill by now – I am taking one outfit and showing you how to style it two ways with this cute waffle knit top. You don’t have to have an overflowing closet to create fun outfits. Change up your shoes and accessories to give you an instant update to any outfit.

Waffle knit tops have been trending for over a year now and I hope they are here to stay because they are just so dang comfy! The sweetest boutique in Ontario called Shop The Authentic gifted me this top so that I could show you some fun ways to wear it. It is lightweight, long enough to wear with leggings, and so soft you will never want to take it off.

My first outfit was an easy go-to. Casual and comfy for those weekends filled with running errands. I love a good slip on shoe like these Converse and a baseball hat is an easy way to make those day old curls still look fab (Hello busy mom trick!) It is seriously such an easy outfit to pull together without feeling sloppy. Of course I opted for my key ring instead of my big purse because it just makes life so much easier when my hands are free and I’m not toting around 10 lbs of random stuff (…because purses are like a bottomless pit of receipts, lip gloss, granola bars and barbies…at least mine are!)

I wanted to show how this top could easily transition from super casual to something a little more dressed up. Now we could go more dressy, but keeping the same jeans and tee I wanted to use just my accessories to change the vibe. In comes the cutest hair clips around. Have you seen these pearl hair clips yet? They are all the rage and I totally get it. I mean, I do feel like I’m heading back into Jr High and the barrette stage (or wait…was that elementary?) Either way, I am loving the subtle detail of the pearl! A simple knot made this waffle knit top a little more form fitting. Paired with summer wedges and the prettiest bag it was an easy transition to an afternoon date outfit!
