A few weeks ago we talked all about how to stack that arm party.  Layering your jewellery, however, is not just for your arms.  Today we are talking all about how to layer your necklaces!

Layered necklaces are a great way to add a statement to your outfit.  From delicates to statement pendants, there is a way to layer your jewellery for every look.

I like to start with a delicate piece with some meaning.  Engraved necklaces are the perfect piece.  Engrave them with a special date, location, name or saying that you can wear close to your heart everyday.  This arrow necklace is another fav and a base for my layering!

Layer delicates easily by having a 2 inch difference in each chain (hook on necklace on the shortest hook and the other on the longest)

Want a little more of a statement?  Grab a long pendant necklace to layer your jewellery with.  I am in love with the vintage gold and pearl beading on this pendant.  It is classic yet boho all at the same time!  Layering the two pieces just adds so much texture and dimension to a basic jeans & tee outfit.

If you are hesitant about layering and how to do it, no worries! Grab a pre-layered necklace that takes the guess work out of styling, plus gives you endless options.  I love this Dez layering necklace.  It has three strands that can be separated into two pieces.  Wear the shorter chains alone or put them all together for a seamless layered look.  You can get creative too and mix your own delicate chains with the longer pendants for your own look!

Another fav of mine is the Kari, which comes in silver and gold.  It is a pre-layered necklace with two strands that can be worn separately or together.  It is really the perfect everyday piece as it is delicate but adds the perfect amount of oomph for a simple statement.  I love how a long pendant elongates you and makes everything look lean & long (which also means slim!!).

Layering your jewellery adds such great dimension to your wardrobe and takes your basic outfit up a notch.  It is my favourite way to make my momiform (a basic tee & jeans) something that I feel great in!  What is your favourite combo of layering?
