How To Cuff Those Jeans

Have you ever looked down at your bunched up jeans and wondered how to make them work with your shoes?  I am sharing my best tricks on how to cuff those jeans!  It is such an easy style to finish any outfit and a great way to show off those cute shoes.

Regardless of the cut or the shoe, there is a cuff for them all.  The idea of cuffing your jeans is to let your ankles show, elongating your legs giving you a tall and lean look!

The Single Roll

Let’s embrace this spring weather by showing off the cutest slip on sneakers (these are c/o Vionic Canada and OH-SO Comfy!  Did you ever think that cute shoes could actually be good for your feet?).  These are so cute to wear when its not quite warm enough for sandals but you have put those boots away until next winter.  This cuff works best on straight or skinny jeans.  It also gives a cropped jean such a cute, casual look!  Take your jeans and simply cuff up the hem.  THAT’S IT!  It may seem so simple, but I love the cropped vibe this easy cuff gives.

The Double Cuff

My go-to cuff for booties!  Did you know when wearing booties, it is always best to have a small bit of ankle showing?  That is what will make your legs look longer!  Depending on how long your jeans are you simply cuff the hem, and then cuff again!  If your jeans are longer you can make a bit wider of a cuff (maybe twice the width of the hem).  Again, I like to smooth out this cuff so it lays flat to give a more polished look.

The Wide Cuff

This is my favourite cuff for straight legged jeans.  Pair it with heels, booties or sandals!  This cuff is an instant way to make slouchy jeans look more streamlined.  Take your jeans and make a cuff as long as your thumbs.  For straight or wide legged jeans, pull the edges to flatten out the cuff nicely.

The Slouchy Cuff

This cuff is so cute on boyfriend jeans or just for an easy casual vibe.  You can make it a double or a single cuff – whatever you need to make the length hit just above your ankle (have you caught onto the trend yet?)  The idea is to keep it messy, so just cuff those jeans and go! Don’t worry about smoothing out all the edges or making sure the cuff is even.  It is such a great way to give your distressed denim some extra style.

So simple yet such a fun way to play with style.  Cuff those jeans to add some versatility in your wardrobe!

Which is your go-to cuff for a cute everyday style?

P.S I’ve linked some of my fav shoes down below for you! 😉 It’s not a shoe problem if you admit it and embrace it, right?

That is why I started it too! I always have to buy petite, but then can never get a crop so I embrace the cuff!

Thanks Ashley! I really love the wide cuff for an easy, casual vibe. I’ve seen it worn with straight leg denim and stilettos too which is SUCH a cute style!
