I love glitz and glitter as much any any girly girl, but I am also a classic at heart so it is no surprise that I grabbed for a LBD for the holidays. I love this dress from Aritzia and am tempted to go back and get the other two colours! But, for the holidays I stuck with a classic black. A black dress is like a blank canvas. It can be worn and accessorised in so many ways that it is a staple in everyone’s wardrobe.
I first spotted this dress online and just knew I had to try it on. It was even better in person! The material is so soft and it hugs the body perfectly without being too tight.
Here are some tips for styling your LBD this season:
1 – Go Bold
Your LBD is a blank canvas, so have fun with bold makeup. I love a great lip colour to up the glam factor.
2 – Accesorise
Use your accessories to create the look that you want! Have fun with your jewellery and don’t be afraid to layer. Stack up an arm party or wear a great statement earring! I grabbed for my oh-so-versatile necklace and wore it long to add a little sparkle to my look.
3 – Grab a wrap to keep you cozy
I grabbed my fur scarf for a fun mix of texture. Not only is it functional to keep me a little warmer but it adds some glam so my LBD.
That best part about this dress? I know that just by changing my shoes and accessories, it will get me through every holiday party this season! Just imagine how cute it would be with tights and booties!!
