I was recently asked to sit on a panel at a local meeting and talk about woman empowerment and female entrepreneurship. Now, let me tell you that my first instinct was “Why do you want me to speak? I don’t have anything special to share.” But then I started to reflect on why I started this blog and what my purpose is all about and it hit me. This IS about women empowerment. It is about creating a tribe that encourages others to choose joy everyday. This blog is about embracing your fun, creative, and genuine side and allowing it to flourish amongst all your other titles of mom, wife, career woman, friend. It is about being unapologetically you and loving yourself through it.
It may seem like it is just a a collection of daily outfits and everyday style talk, but WE have become a tribe. I hope that through each blog post and Instagram photo you embrace your own style, personality, desire and passion!
In that very spirit, I wouldn’t let you miss out on my new fav combo this fall!
There may be a heatwave coming to us this weekend but I am all in for fall and the fun trends it brings. I don’t believe in “rules” for fashion (girl, you do you and dress however makes you feel great!), but I do love following seasonal trends. Blush and Camo is certainly a trend that was around last year and its not going anywhere fast, thankfully! It took me a while to jump on the camo bandwagon (you can see how I like to style it HERE and HERE!) but I am embracing it while keeping it fun and feminine. The best way to do that? Pair it with pink!
I grabbed this jacket last year and its so good they brought it back again! It comes in a ton of other colours but I just love the camo print. It is so versatile and perfect for fall as a layering piece. You can transition it by wearing with with a tshirt and short or over a swing dress while the temps are still warm enough.
