Okay, so the long weekend got me so excited that I forgot to share my last day of the 5×5 fall style challenge with you! So, fashionably late, here is my last look from my 5 days, 5 looks with 5 pieces.
Friday was the start of Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and I was SO excited. I was hitting the road right after work to head out of town to visit the in-laws so I grabbed for my go-to denim jeggings and rocked my casual Friday outfit to work, which doubled as a great comfy car outfit.
With the last day of our 5×5 style challenge you are seeing pieces on repeat, but I hope they give you some style inspiration as to how to use those pieces to create different looks. versatility is key in my life. My husband, for some strange reason, disproves of me spending all our money on a new wardrobe so I need to find ways to make a basic capsule wardrobe work for me but not get bored of the same outfit over and over. I hope that this 5×5 challenge has shown you that you can absolutely do that!
I grabbed for my jeans and the plaid button down flannel from DAY 1 to create the perfect casual work look. I am hoping in the car after work and driving 4 hours to visit the in-laws for the weekend and I didn’t want to change – so I am SO glad that this outfit is super comfy.
I just love my slip on converse and they were the perfect fit for today’s outfit. We have has a warm spell that I am loving so my fall boots will have to wait another week, but I did intend on wearing my riding boots with this! I grabbed for my usual blanket scarf this morning to beat the crisp morning air, but this outfit would really look cute with a vest too!
I love the length and fit of this flannel – it was easy to wear tucked in on DAY 1, but its long enough to wear out, and even over leggings!
